Kimia Semnani

Kimia Semnani is a partner at Pearlman Brown and Wax, where she focuses exclusively on workers’ compensation defense. Her connection to the firm began years ago—not as an attorney, but as a client. That early collaboration gave her a unique perspective on the firm’s work and values, ultimately inspiring her to join the team as an attorney and grow her practice here. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara with her bachelor’s degree, Kimia began her career as a claims examiner, developing a strong foundation in claims handling and case strategy. She went on to work as a claims consultant for a nationwide staffing agency, where she advised on complex workers’ compensation matters, all while attending law school at night.

Since becoming an attorney, Kimia has drawn on her diverse experience in claims and consulting to provide strategic, results-driven defense for employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. Her clients value her practical insight, responsiveness, and deep understanding of the industry from all angles.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, entertaining, attending live sports & music events, and spending time with her husband and family. She is fluent in Farsi and conversational in Spanish.
