Senior Associate Ada Rodriguez Wants to Expand the Definition of Diversity at PB&W

When Associate Ada Rodriguez was asked to co-chair Pearlman, Brown & Wax’s new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, she was excited to have the opportunity to challenge preconceived notions about diversity in the workplace. “What is important to me is making people realize we’re different in so many ways. It’s not just about what you look like or what accent you speak with,” said Ada. “Each and every one of us is a contributing factor in creating a happy, successful and diverse workplace.”

As a native Spanish speaker, Ada’s own cultural background has benefitted her career and her clients significantly. “I’ve had clients say they feel more comfortable discussing cases with me because I make their employees feel more at ease,” said Ada. “I can speak to managers, supervisors and injured workers in Spanish and help them be more participatory in their litigation, and my clients have been very appreciative of that.”

Since joining the firm in 2006, Ada focuses her practice exclusively on Workers’ Compensation defense with an emphasis on continuous trauma claims. In her leisure time, she enjoys kickboxing, gardening, sporting events and spending time with her children.
