As Co-Chair of Pearlman, Brown & Wax’s new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, Antwoin Wall hopes that his efforts will help people inside and outside the firm see the importance of workplace diversity. “I thought co-chairing the committee was a great opportunity to help the firm celebrate the differences we all bring to make this a healthy place to work,” said Antwoin. “Hopefully, our committee will bring people closer together internally and externally show that we are a wonderfully diverse group that loves to work together.”
The committee’s goal is to spearhead internal and external diversity initiatives, celebrate the many backgrounds represented at PB&W, and create a space for attorneys and staff to share thoughts and concerns related to diversity. Members kicked off the initiative with an event honoring Hispanic Heritage Month in October 2021.
Antwoin hopes his success as an attorney and his participation in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee will inspire others. “Being an African American attorney, I appreciate having the opportunity to represent people from underrepresented groups. If someone from a similar background sees something we’ve published from a DEI perspective and it inspires them to do this work, that’s something I value,” said Antwoin. “If my representation makes someone want to join this firm, that excites me.”
In his practice at PB&W, Antwoin assists his clients in a full array of employment matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour litigation.
