Jack Cohen

Jack M. Cohen is a senior associate with Pearlman, Brown & Wax in our Encino office and has specialized in the field of workers’ compensation since 1976.

He is a graduate of the University of California at Riverside and the San Fernando Valley College of Law. Jack has been a certified specialist in workers’ compensation since 1982 and has represented self-insured employers, public agencies as well as insurance carriers.

He has acted as a Judge Pro Tem at the WCAB and has developed an expertise in handling alternative dispute resolution cases as a defense attorney. Jack was recently appointed as a mediator and arbitrator for the LAPD carve out program with the City of Los Angeles.

In addition to handling the defense of workers’ compensation cases, he has represented employers in disability retirement, ADA and subrogation matters. Jack has also presented programs to supervisors and managers on the interrelationship of these issues.

Mr. Cohen is married and the proud father of 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. He is also an accomplished tennis player.
