Law Settled on “Take-Home” COVID-19
In a win for California employers following Kuciemba v. Victory Woodworks, Inc., the law on take-home COVID has been settled. Employees who contract the virus may file a workers’ compensation claim, but they and their family members are barred from pursuing a civil claim. Partner and Senior Employment Counsel Corinne Spencer and Senior Associates Jonathan Brown and Antwoin Wall examined the Court’s ruling in a recent Daily Journal article.

We’re excited to welcome Nikki Mehrpoo as a Partner in the Workers’ Compensation Defense and Immigration Law departments. Mehrpoo also handles issues related to employment law, undocumented immigrants, ADA and FEHA.
